Client Focus: Strength and Endurance for Trekking in Spain

Marti began personal training with me in Spring 2015, she had been a successful executive for a large company for many years. As her retirement approached in the summer of 2015, the first thing she planned was the trip of a lifetime with some friends to trek the Camino de Santiago in Spain.

The Camino de Santiago in northern Spain is Europe's longest ancient pilgrimage route. Marti and her friends trekked the final 100 kilometers! Along with making preparations for what she would need to bring such as well-fitting hiking boots and poles, Marti realized she would need to work on her strength and fitness so she could complete her journey with as little pain as possible and injury free.

We had some work to do on Marti's strength and endurance and began training four months before she was due to leave. She committed to her training and we both excitedly witnessed her strength increase every week.

Finally Marti retired and it was time to leave for Spain. She sent these wonderful photos and this great review:

"I decided I needed some training before attempting the last 100 kms of the Camino de Santiago which I started 3 days ago. I have said to my camino amigas and myself MANY times, "I am so glad I trained with Chloe for four months before starting this journey."
